No Spotter Bench Press. No spotter for bench press title pretty much explains my issue, so from what i've discovered online my best bet would just be to ask somebody to spot me, unfortunately for me, the ppl program i'm doing calls for 5 sets of the bench press so i really don't want to be bugging some guy to spot me for that many sets. No flat bench, no problem.

I was the life guard once. Here's a safer alternative that builds just. No spotter bench press> smith machine or no smith machine so i don't work out with a spotter, and while my gym does have one, singular, squat cage, there is always a line and it's hard enough to get a turn at it for squats let alone pulling a bench over to press in it. Depends on how heavy you are lifting relative to your 1rep max or how close you are going to failure.
